Talent Show and Chili Cook-Off: Sunday, November 11th
The Stewardship committee is hosting a talent show featuring some of the many talented members of BSLC on Sunday, November 11th, following the 9:00 a.m. service. We are asking for your help to find participants for this talent show. If you know people in our congregation who have hidden talents (or well-known ones), please ask them if you could submit their names and talents on the sign-up sheet in the narthex. Or, if you would be willing to share your own personal skill, please sign the sheet in the narthex and let us know what talent you will share. Talents might include music, comedy, poetry, magic tricks, dance, etc.

In addition to Beautiful Savior's Got Talent on November 11th, we challenge all culinary artists to another chili cook-off. This was a great event two years ago. If you take the challenge to submit your best chili recipe for the congregation to consider, please sign up on the sheet in the narthex near the coat room so we know who will be participating. Blessings as you share the talents God's given you!

Rainforest Club Game Night: Friday, November 16th from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
The Rainforest Club will have its first event of the year on Friday, November 16th. Children in grades 1-5 are invited to come to church from 6:00-7:30 p.m. to play games and get to know each other better.

BSLC Academy: November 18th and 25th
November's Beautiful Savior Academy will explore the topic of families in the Bible. Scripture describes God's plan for families in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. We also find many examples of families in the Bible that don't come close to meeting those expectations. Bill Cario will lead a two-part Academy, where we will explore what Scripture says about families and will discuss what that means for us today. Join us in the Fellowship Hall from 10:30-11:15 on Sunday, November 18th, and on Sunday, November 25th. All are welcome!

Please make sure to sign up no later than a week before the event. Sheets will be placed in the back of the sanctuary. In order for this service to be successful, we are hoping that participating families will take a turn volunteering on at least one of those nights. We are also looking for teen (service hours available) and other volunteers to help with these events. Any questions, please see Amy Canapa.

Christmas Party and Mystery: Saturday, December 8th
This year our Christmas party will be held on Saturday, December 8th. Dinner will be served, along with a non-murder, North Pole-themed mystery entertainment. Oberammergau 2020
Pastor Hillenbrand is leading an 11-day tour to Oberammergau in 2020. The trip will include Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna, Oberammergau and Passion Play, and Munich. Airfare/meal inclusive cost is $4449 per person/double occupancy. Likely leaving June 29th, 2020. Brochures are available in the narthex.

Board Games Wanted
We are collecting gently used board games to use with the Karenni families. Some will be helpful in teaching numbers, colors, math skills, etc., and some will be given to the families. Thank you very much!

Prayer Shawl Ministry
If you are a knitter, you are invited to become part of a Prayer Shawl Ministry for the benefit of those on our prayer list and for a mission project. You would be doing this on your own time and at your convenience. The pattern is very simple, and as shawls are completed, they are blessed by the pastor and then distributed. For more information, please contact Jo Fenske.
